Hall
The Hall algorithm emulates a large hall with a broad and warm reverb.
Room
Room emulates a small and well-furnished room with an intimate ambience.
Plate
Going back in time the Plate reverb algorithm emulates the large metallic plates which were used to create reverbs before digital signal processing was commonplace.
Pre Delay
Whether you work with vocals or instruments, the M30 Studio Reverb will add a broad and warm reverb to your sound. Use the pre delay to separate the source from the reverb tail.
Decay
M30 preserves the natural characteristics of the original source, which gives you an incomparable and authentic large sound. Use the decay parameter to adjust the length of the
reverb diffuse field.
Hi Color
The sound of M30 is perfectly suited to vocals, but it can also be used with a wide variety of instruments and audio material. Hi Color varies the “color” of the reverb. From dark to crisp and bright, the Color parameter can really change the characteristics and style of the reverb.
Mix
The Mix parameter obviously sets the wet/dry mix. Use the convenient 100% knob when working with the reverb as parallel effect.

Vocotron’s keyboard is divided into two key zones, like on the classic Mellotron and Chamberlin “samplers”. The heart of Vocotron is a high precision 32-band vocoder with a frequency range from 100 Hz to 16 KHz. In order to fine-tune the tone, you can tweak the bandwidth as well as the level of each of the 32 frequency bands.

The carrier is set by an internal synthesizer with two oscillators with detune and FM-modulation, mono/stereo modes and glide. The short right side of the keyboard is compensated by the extending range of coarse tuning.

The Vocotron is not limited to working with vocals and drums. Combining a sampler and vocoder provides a new original way to get unusual sounds. With a Vocotron you can get interesting-sounding basses, pads, textures and rhythmic backing.

The Marshall Time Modulator is one of those creations. Before there was much "digital" anything, and before records were considered something anachronistic and nostalgia evoking, back when "Dark Side of the Moon" was new and Hip-Hop kind of a distant dream, Stephen St. Croix had an idea: What would happen if you took the the longest analog delay line possible, gave it the greatest signal to noise ratio in a piece of outboard gear, and then made the modulation of it possible over such a wide range that it could effect sound in ways sublime AND outrageous. Something so utilitarian and necessary that it could fit in equally well on Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life," or as the means of giving extra gravitas to the sound of a bad acid trip. Stephen called it: The Marshall Time Modulator. You'll call it "indispensable".

Slip-N-Slide
At Intelligent Devices, one of our guiding principles is that we make tools for audio manipulation that we would want to use. Consequently we like to make audio tools that simply don’t exist elsewhere.

Slip-N-Slide is a case in point. What we have here are actually several different frequency domain effects, each with a significant amount of control over the effected as well as uneffected portions of the sound and each affording either a little or a lot of “ra n do m n e s s .”

With Slip-N-Slide you can create almost anything from shimmering, temporally rigid, spectral tremolos to slurred speech, to quirky, reverse-gate sounding effects, to new ambiances to continuously new rhythmic and sonic artifact riddled accents. The combination of spectral processing with controllable randomization is very powerful.

We could listen to this thing for hours. We hope you’ll feel the same way.

It's a new kind of multi-tap delay. HERE, NOW!!!

Think about this: up to 100 separate delay taps that can be either rigidly time synched OR completely randomized. Go from vocoderish resonation to unusual, non-linear, reverby sounds. Control the volume of the head of the delay or the tail! Randomize panning! Control randomized "clumping" through a logarithmic curve. Use it as a non-linear room simulator (especially if you're a fan of pre-delay). Affect the phase of individual taps. Add a regenerative delay that only plays back ONLY the sound of the taps and can be placed anywhere over 2000 ms with control over its own feedback and phase!

Also, If you're familiar with Pure Data, MAX/MSP or REAKTOR, you can easily create patches that allow you to "play" the resonation. Awesome! (Exceptionally lovely with stereo input.)

D16 proudly presents our first Fx Plugin from our "SilverLine Collection" - Devastor. Devastor is a simple but remarkable Multiband Distortion Unit. It is an enhanced version of the distortion unit from our synth Phoscyon. Being multiband, the sonic mangling capabilities are endless!

Structure

Devastor consists of three blocks: dynamic-gain module, diode-clipper distortion and three filter sections. Each of the filters can process the signal before or after the diode-clipper. The filters are not the peaking EQ type which are used in classic multiband distortion They are like those found in analog synthesizers (low pass, high pass, band pass and band reject)- with adjustable resonance and cutoff. As a result, Devastor has a completely unique sound - just check out the Factory Presets.

Versatile and advanced

Devastor can used to distort and enhance a wide range of sounds - From full-on acid synth sounds to guitar fuzz or analog amp with combo speaker. It can even be used with drums to make them sound more dirty and dynamic! Devastor isn't just good at creating distorted monster sounds. It can also be used subtlety to improve the timbre and character of more gentle sounds. Reducing the preamp gain, increasing the threshold and selecting a soft-knee for the dynamics will bring out more warmth and detail in a sound without introducing distortion.

When designing Devastor, we applied special antialiasing techniques to the output signal to make sure the signal had no aliasing (aliasing is one of the reasons why digital distortion units sound so cold and un-musical). As a result, Devastor has a warm, musical and very high quality sound.

To hear Devastor, we would like to invite You to listen our audio examples. You'll find many types - from distorted acid lines, through drum'n'bass loops, to electric pianos and organs. Devastor is so good that you may think that the sound has been sent from the computer to an external analog distortion unit and back into the computer again!

- Problems with plugin installed in user defined folders(Mac VST only)-fixed.


Known Issues:

- Due to adding of new parameters some hosts can notify about changes during loading old projects. However it should not cause any problems with them.

DrMS puts you in control

DrMS presents a new way to approach the manipulation of stereo audio. It is based on MS (Mid-Side) processing, although DrMS splits the stereo signal into four sections rather than the normal two, giving you new levels of control: Zoom in, add Depth, change Width or any combination and more. DrMS takes you wherever you want to go in the stereo field.

Each of the four sections has mastering grade resonant high pass and low pass filters, plus a sample-based delay line to slightly shift the signal against the other sections. In addition to this, there is a Feedback section. The level and combination of all the different sections will result in various changes of the stereo field.

For easy A/B comparision between original and processed signal, an autogain circuit is build in to ensure a level matched output.

Dozens of useful applications

The flexible controls ensure a wide range of applications, both for mixing and mastering as well as for post production. Use DrMS for tasks going from simple MS encoding/decoding, over stereo field and depth enhancement, to fixing mono compatibility issues and more.
In any case, audio processed by DrMS stays 100% mono compatible!

To help you getting started, a bank of presets is included. These were developed by mix engineer Dylan '3D' Dresdow (Black Eyed Peas, Michael Jackson, Usher) and engineer/producer Emre Ramazanoglu (Shakira, Alexander McQueen, Lou Rhodes).

Smart MCU support

DrMS also features a smart control surface layout for users of a Mackie Control Universal (MCU) or compatible control surface: All parameters have a clear 6-character name and are organised in banks of 8/16 with use of informative 'dummy' parameters to complete each bank for easy bank switching and great overview.

DrMS version 3.0

Version 3 of DrMS was re-coded from the ground up in a partnership with Mu Technologies to be a true native VST/AU/RTAS plugin. It also includes numerous improvements and new features over version 2, such as the newly implemented mastering grade filters, the addition of the Feedback circuit, the improved GUI with value displays and the inclusion of example preset settings.

DrMS works in your host of choice.

Many "modeled" compressors are nothing more than futile attempts to get an off-the-shelf algorithm to match its hardware counterpart by tweaking a few parameters like the knee and attack/release times. But anyone who has worked with hardware compressors knows that there must be more to it. And there is.

The heritage of analog compressors very much showcases the history of electronics in the previous century. It's the deficiencies of the different designs and components that give each unit its unique character, and what started out as technical limitations have now become sought-after sounds. Simply approximating the most apparent features is not enough to capture this uniqueness. It takes a model of great complexity and accuracy to make a digital replica sound like the original with all settings and inputs.

The Passive-Active Pack is a collection of three very different equalizers, each with its own character and quirks. The equalizers contain emulations of real workhorse equalizers, used on thousands of recordings from past to present.

Passive Equalizer is a three-band EQ with an unprecedented clear and open sound, a warm low end and sparkling top.

Active Equalizer is Passive's counterpart with three fully parametric bands and a tight and focused sound.

Focusing Equalizer is an untraditional take on the EQ concept where the low, mid and high bands move automatically and musically in relation to the high and low cut filters. It also features filters from the Passive and Active EQ's as well as an outstanding one-knob Saturation control.

At first glance it may seem like you're sacrificing versatility by using an equalizer with a limited set of options - why use a three-band equalizer when you can use your digital equalizer with umpteen bands, continous gain, selectable Q and different curves all built in? Well, equalization is all about sound design. Having an equalizer where the designer has already made some of the choices four you is like having an experienced sound engineer helping out and giving you directions.

All equalizers are modeled using the same state-of-the-art technology as we used to create our very popular FET Compressor and the Brilliance Pack plug-ins for Abbey Road.

D16 proudly presents our first Fx Plugin from our "SilverLine Collection" - Devastor. Devastor is a simple but remarkable Multiband Distortion Unit. It is an enhanced version of the distortion unit from our synth Phoscyon. Being multiband, the sonic mangling capabilities are endless!. Devastor consists of three blocks: dynamic-gain module, diode-clipper distortion and three filter sections. Each of the filters can process the signal before or after the diode-clipper. The filters are not the peaking EQ type which are used in classic multiband distortion They are like those found in analog synthesizers (low pass, high pass, band pass and band reject) - with adjustable resonance and cutoff. As a result, Devastor has a completely unique sound - just check out the Factory Presets.
Devastor can used to distort and enhance a wide range of sounds - From full-on acid synth sounds to guitar fuzz or analog amp with combo speaker. It can even be used with drums to make them sound more dirty and dynamic!. Devastor isn't just good at creating distorted monster sounds. It can also be used subtlety to improve the timbre and character of more gentle sounds. Reducing the preamp gain, increasing the threshold and selecting a soft-knee for the dynamics will bring out more warmth and detail in a sound without introducing distortion.
When designing Devastor, we applied special antialiasing techniques to the output signal to make sure the signal had no aliasing (aliasing is one of the reasons why digital distortion units sound so cold and un-musical). As a result, Devastor has a warm, musical and very high quality sound.
To hear Devastor, we would like to invite You to listen our audio examples. You'll find many types - from distorted acid lines, through drum'n'bass loops, to electric pianos and organs. Devastor is so good that you may think that the sound has been sent from the computer to an external analog distortion unit and back into the computer again!
